If you have a young child, one of the primary questions on your mind might be where you can take him or her for their first dental visit?
Which might trigger a second question: when should I bring my child in?
As a general rule, we advise bringing your little one in as soon as he or she develops their first tooth. It may also help if you bring your little one in during one of your own visits. Early visits like these can help you child become accustomed to the sights, sounds, and friendly faces of our office, making first visits much more comfortable.
Why are first visits so important?
Because they give us a chance to check on how your little one’s smile is developing, and to treat any cases of gum disease or tooth decay that may have developed. We can also begin teaching your child the basics of brushing and flossing.
